George "Capp" LaCour

Occupational Therapist

George "Capp" LaCour is an occupational therapist with 23+ years of experience in the rehabilitation of upper extremity orthopaedic and sports medicine conditions with an emphasis on hand trauma and complex injuries. Capp completed all requirements to become a Board Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) in 2003 and is currently the only CHT practicing in Central Louisiana. In addition to practicing, Capp serves as gratis faculty for the LSU Medical Center School of Occupational Therapy in Shreveport where he teaches occupational therapy students in human anatomy, orthopaedics, and management. Besides mentoring occupational therapy students, he has also shared his experience by teaching numerous continuing education courses and contributing to hand therapy certification review textbooks. In his spare time, Capp enjoys watching the LSU Tigers, cooking, fishing, working in his yard/garden and spending time with his wife and daughter.
